IT20429: PUREAPPLICATION SYSTEM: DISK ADD-ON ERROR OCCURRED DURING A HORIZONTAL SCALING OPERATION ON A MULTI-CLOUD CONFIGURATION

Error description

• A customer with a multi-cloud configuration tried to scale out
  a node on a pattern that included a Disk Add-on using the
  instance Management console. They used the "Manual Scaling >
  Horizontal Scaling - Add nodes" operation to add a node.
  
  The error for the operation occurs because when a virtual
  machine (VM) with a disk add-on is scaled out to a new cloud
  group, the code attempted to execute a disk add-on for all VMs
  in the pattern instance instead of just for the new scaled-out
  VM.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The code executing scripts during the scale-out operation was
  missing correct values for the "multiCGScaleOut" and
  "scaleoutcloudid" properties.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
  and BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
