Error description
When a HOD 12.0.1 user attempts to launch the Admin from START -> All Programs -> IBM HOD -> Administration Utility the page fails to launch. User gets a "Please wait. Host on-Demand is detecting the level of Java support on your system" for a long time and it stall there endlessly and the Admin never gets launched. Launching the Admin page from a browser works with no issues. Problem occurs consistently under all HOD 12.0.1 supported JREs.
Local fix
Problem summary
Admin utility page fails to launch when tried from START -> All Programs -> IBM HOD -> Administration Utility. User gets "Please wait. Host on-Demand is detecting the level of Java support on your system" and hence the admin page fails to launch. The issue cropped up at the HOD 12.0.1 level.
Problem conclusion
The web page loading based on session storage was implemented in 12.0.1 and this is not supported on higher version of browser Internet Explorer; Thus the web page loading fails and the Admin Utility is not launched. Changes were made in the code and implemented under HOD 12.0.3 refresh pack. So this scenario if session storage is null is handled without throwing any exception.
Temporary fix
