APAR status

Error description

  • Convert STGpool successfully completes without error but can
    leave objects in the source pool. The source stgpool will show
    access as "Converted".

    Message of successful Convert STGPool:
         ANR0986I Process xxx for CONVERT STGPOOL running in the
    BACKGROUND processed nnn items for a total of
    ### bytes with a completion state  of
    SUCCESS at <time>.
    
    Query Stgpool after the Convert STGPool for the Source pool
    shows the stgpool has been converted and still has utilization:
    
       Storage Pool Name: CONVERT1
                         Storage Pool Type: Primary
                         Device Class Name: TEMP_CONVERT1  s).
            Storage Type: DEVCLASS
      Estimated Capacity: 14,133 G
      Space Trigger Util: 26.2
                Pct Util: 0.1   <---- still has utilization
                Pct Migr: 0.1
                  Access: Converted     <--- pool is converted
    
    A Query Content will show objects remain on the volume(s).
    
    In the server activity log the following message will be found
    for the stgpool being converted during the conversion process:
       ANR1340I Scratch volume XXXXXXXXXXXXX is now defined in
    storage pool XXXXXXXX
    
    *NOTE*
    The source and target stgpools can be of any valid conversion
    type pool.
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Linux/Unix Windows 7.1.7 and 8.1
