APAR status

Error description

  • SYSLOG messages sent to an external monitoring service (QRadar)
are not tagged with a unique host name, all messages get a
default host name of localhost.localdomain.

This APAR will change localhost.localdomain to something unique
for every system.

Problem summary


    

  • The code has been updated to use the IP address of the
PureSystems Manager sending the message as the unique
originating identifier.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
