APAR status

Error description

  • When logs are requested from a customer, they run service.bat
    (Windows servers) and service.sh (Unix servers).
    In 5.2.13, the service tool fails to collect the javacore and
    heap dump files from the WebSphere directories:
    <TPC_install_dir>\wlp\usr\servers\deviceServer
    <TPC_install_dir>\wlp\usr\servers\alertServer
    
    
    RECREATE STEPS:
    Run service.bat/service.sh, collect the resulting
    SCServiceFiles*.zip and notice no core or dump files collected.

Local fix

  • Ask customers to manually collect javacore/heapdump files from
    the mentioned directories.
