APAR status

Error description

  • IBM Spectrum Control 5.2.13 and later include a different
    logger/tracer than what was in previous versions
    
    The log for changepasswords tool for such a version will be
    located in ...<IBM Spectrum Control Home Dir>\service\log,
    e.g. traceChangePasswordsTool_0.log.
    
    The output file PWTool.log has been sunset and replaced with
    traceChangePasswordsTool_0.log.
    
    
    The service tool that generates SCServiceFiles_all.zip does not
    include such logs.
    

Local fix

  • Collect the log manually from:
    <IBM Spectrum Control Home Dir>\service\log
    (or <IBM Spectrum Control Home Dir>/service/log on Unix)
