IT20081: DATA SERVER PROCESS CRASHES WHEN DATABASE CONNECTIONS ARE HELD OPEN FOR TOO LONG.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a Fabric job takes longer than one day and its DB2
  connection gets closed because too many connection were already
  opened, the data server will crash.
  Review of the fabric job logs shows:
  2017-03-23 20:34:00.575-0400 STS0306I: Job queued for
  processing. Waiting for idle thread.
  2017-03-25 00:26:12.468-0400 GEN0400E: Probe completed with
  errors.
  The Data server's Audit.trace log file (located in
  <tpc_install_dir>\data\log) shows:
  2017-03-23 20:34:00.576-0400 Username=<user_name>
  Running ExecProbeFabric
  com.tivoli.itsrm.TStorm.server.svp.JobHndlr handle
  CimomRequestHandler3
  Increasing the DB2 number of open connections threshold to 100
  (default 50) can work around this issue.  When this threshold is
  exceeded the idle connections will be closed.
  RECREATE STEPS:
  observe data server crash when fabric probes take more than 24
  hours to complete.
