Error description

  • When authorizations are properly set for a profile type of
rqmname, the amqoamd utility reports no MQ authorization
    (None).
However, the dmpmqaut command reports the correct MQ
    authorizations given. For example:
    .
If this setmqaut command is issued:

     setmqaut -m QMgrName -n RemoteQMgrName -t rqmname -g
    group_name +put +setall

The "amqoamd -m QMgrName" command reports:

      ObjectType: QMgrName
      ObjectName: RemoteQMgrName
        User name: group_name@hostname
        Authorities: None (0x00000208)

The "dmpmquat -m QMgrName" command reports:

     profile: QMgrName
     object type: rqmname
     entity: group_name@hostname
     entity type: group
     authority: put setall

Local fix

  • Use the dmpmquat command to verify authorizations for "rqmname"
    profile types.
If the amqoamd utility is being used to dump the MQ
authorizations to a file, you have two options:

    1. Manually modify the setmqaut commands for "rqmname" profiles
    in the file output.

    2. Use the dmpmqcfg utility to dump the MQ authorizations to a
    file. For example:

     dmpmqcfg -m QMgrName -x authrec -o setmqaut >
    /tmp/file_name.out

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of the amqoamd command who wish to display authority
    records with
an object type of remote queue manager name are affected by this
    issue.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error in the code for amqoamd meant that the authority
    flags
for records with an object type of remote queue manager name
    were not
    displayed correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified so that authority flags for the
remote queue manager name are correctly displayed when the
    amqoamd
    program is run.
