APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Spectrum Protect Storage Agent will be unable to use SSL
    secure connection despite it is configured to use it.
    The session established from Storage Agent to Library Manager
    will hang during SSL initiation, while the session established
    from Storage Agent to Library Client uses SSL as expected.
    This causes the Spectrum Protect B/A Client to use a TCPIP
    session and backup/archive and restore/retrieve processes will
    complete but not using lanfree.
    
    
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    The problem is caused by the current design limitation of
    Storage Agent that gets the library manager server definition
    from its server instead of using the proper SSL options set for
    library manager Server definition.

    All supported versions on all supported platforms

  • Add ssl=yes key to the dsmsta.opt file
