IT19661: Delays in MQPUT when publishing a message using complex subscription selector

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If MQ subscriber applications publish messages which use
  complex subscription selectors, then the time taken to evaluate
  the selector also increases as the number of logical conditions
  increases, causing an increasing delay in the MQPUT call. The
  performance impact depends on the number of selectors,
  subscribers and the complexity of the selectors.

  Inefficiencies in the message selection evaluation algorithms
  for IBM MQ version 8 and 9 were identified.
  

Problem conclusion

• MQ selector evaluation code has been modified to improve
  performance when using complex selectors.
