Error description

  • When using the Operations Center to display a list of clients
    filtered on size and the browser uses a language other than
    English, it may return an empty list with the message
    "unable to retrieve data"
    (note: the above message has been translated to English but it
    will be shown as the browser language).
    
    Clicking on that message will display :
    
    ANRG0202E The JavaScript Object Notation object (JSON) being
    scanned by the IBM Spectrum Protect server is not in the
    correct format.
    Verify that the server is returning a valid JSON object.
    Detail: Unexpected character 'd' on line 1, column 2520
    (note: the above message has been translated to English but it
    will be shown as the browser language).
    
    The detail reason might also look like :
    "expecting either ',' or ']' on line 1, column 557"
    
    The above can be seen for eample when trying to display the
    Front-end capacity details for clients.
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:
    IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center 7.1.3 and later, and
    8.1.0 on all supported platforms

  • Bypass the problem by setting temporarily the browser language
    to English.
