Error description

  • Application was using asynchronous consume (MQCTL/MQCB) and its
message consumer was called with MQRC_INCONSISTENT_UOW a number
of times before being returned with a a message. The intended
behaviour in this case would have been to consistently return
MQRC_INCONSISTENT_UOW.

USERS AFFECTED:
Users putting a mix of persistent and non persistent
grouped/segmented messages under syncpoint and getting messages
using async consume.


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
This problem occurred because of incorrect validation of MQMD
properties by the MQ queue manager when using asynchronous
consume.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The IBM MQ queue manager logic has been modified to validate the
MQMD properties correctly when using asynchronous consume.
