IT19278: "CDR GC: OPERATION OPEN ON TABLE USER TABLE FAILED (ISAM ERROR -135)." MOVING FROM 12.10 PRE-XC7 TO XC7 OR HIGHER

APAR status

Error description

• Upgrading an instance defined for Enterprise Replication from an
  earlier 12.10 fixpack to 12.10.xC7 or newer would cause
  following CDR GC errors to appear at ER shutdown (or startup):
  
  CDR GC: Operation open on table user table failed (isam error
  -135).
  
  None of the replicates seem to be affected as the table in
  question turns out to be syscdr:shardpart_tab.  This table's
  schema received a minor change, turning an lvarchar into an
  lvarchar(30000) which made the table receive a new partnum,
  which in turn is not reflected in the internal replicate defined
  on this table.
  

Local fix

• Workaround, as user informix in syscdr database:
  
  update partdef set partnum = (select partnum from systables
  where tabname="shardpart_tab") where table = "shardpart_tab";
