Error description

  • Reproduced the problem using PCOM 6.0.16 on Win7. Also see this
on 12.0. Using IND$FILE Receive Files from Host dialog in a
    3270 emulator session.

Looks like the pre-fill option described in the online Help is
not working. After I fill the host file name and Tab down, the
PC file name box is empty, but when I "add to list" the default
PC folder is appended to the host file name to create the local
PC file path for the download.

When I click on the Transfer List entry at the bottom, the top
boxes are filled in with the data but if I click on PC Browse,
the host file name goes away again.

On a Microsoft Windows system where IBM Personal Communications
    is installed,
    .
Go to "Receive File From Host" dialog:
    1. Enter a "Host File Name" and select "Browse" for filling in
"PC File Name" This causes the "Host File Name" field to be
    cleared out.
    2. Enter a fully qualified host file name (ex: 'USER1.T.TEXT')
in the "Host File Name" field and and press tab to move cursor
to the "PC File Name" field. A trailing single quote will
remain in the PC File Name (ex: c:\temp\T.TxT').
    .
Go to "Send File To Host" dialog:
    1. Enter a "Host File Name" and select "Browse" for filling in
"PC File Name". This causes the "Host File Name" field to be
    cleared out.
    2. "Browse" on "PC File Name" and select a file from the local
machine. Upon clicking "open", the entry is directly added to
the "Transfer List" without having to click the "Add to List"
    button.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSXFER.DLL code changes have been made to fix these issues.
    With the fix -
    a) Host File Name field will not get cleared out.
    b) Unexpected single quote issue is addressed
    c) Files will be automatically added to the "Transfer List"
only when more than one file is selected from the "Browse"
button under "PC File Name" section.
Fix scheduled for PCOMM 6.0.19 and 12.0.3 Refresh Packs.
