APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • There are situations where the password is not set correctly in
    the Hub-TEMS virtual machine (VM) configuration of the System
    Monitoring shared service instance.
    
    This leads to several issues like:
    * cannot see historical data older than 24 hours
    * no data is pruned from the warehouse database
    

Local fix

  • Manually reconfigure the TEMS using the command:
    "/opt/IBM/ITMSS/itmcmd config -A cq"
    and add the correct password.
    

Problem summary

  • An issue in the regular expression populating a configuration
    file caused this problem.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
    BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0 in the System Monitoring
    Pattern 1.0.10.0.
