APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the  FILETEXTEXIT server option the file that is
  created may not have the correct permissions associated with it
  - for example:-
  
  FILETEXTEXIT yes /instance/filetextexit.out REPLACE
  
  This creates the file -  but on starting the server you can
  see:-
  
  ANR7806W Unable to open file /instance/filetextexit.out
  
  On checking the file permissions we find that it is set to 0001

  filetextexit.out
  
  In this case the directory permissions were 0755 and the Umask
  for the user tsminst1 was set to 0022
  
  A change should be made to the server code to specify the
  correct file permission

  versions 6.3.x and 7.1.x on Linux platform

Local fix

• Manually set the permissions on the file and use the APPEND
  parameter in the FILETEXTEXIT option - thus:-
  
  FILETEXTEXIT yes  file_name  APPEND
