APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Control services (data and device server) do not
  start successfully after incorrectly restoring a database backup
  from an older version of IBM Spectrum Control into a newer
  version.  The IBM Spectrum Control installation and the database
  must be from the same levels to restore.  Problems will occur if
  there is a mismatch between them.  (e.g. IBM Spectrum Control
  5.2.11 can only run with a database from 5.2.11.)
  
  No specific error is logged indicating that the database is from
  a different level.  Various errors with Device Server and Data
  Server occur while trying to connect to the database and start.
  You might find errors like the following in server_xxxxx.log or
  dbtrace.log for the Data Server.
