APAR status

Error description

  • A user should be able to disable or delete virtual system
    patterns that are not being used and that do not have
    running instances.
    
    The user deleted all running instances of a virtual
    system pattern and then attempted to delete the pattern,
    and got an error message indicating that there were
    still running instances of the pattern.
    

Local fix

  • The unlock plugin can be used to remove the pattern once the
    user has made sure that the pattern is not being used, and that
    no other pattern depends on it.
    

Problem summary

  • Code has been updated to fix the dependency checking for
    virtual system patterns.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
    BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
