APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When applying the device driver to devices that are to be
    controlled by the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager device driver at
    the 7.1.7.0 version it will fail to load correctly.  There will
    be a yellow exclamation mark next to the devices.  The device
    status will report this:
    Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers
    required for this device. A recent hardware or software change
    might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or
    damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown
    source. (Code 52)
    The devices will not be usable until the device driver is
    corrected or a different driver is used.

    7.1.7.0 IBM Spectrum Protect Server on Windows

Local fix

  • Use the 7.1.6.0 device driver.  Or use Windows/vendor driver for
    the devices.
