APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When accessing resources using the friendly DNS name, DataPower
ODR returns a Http 1.1 404 response even though all appears to
be configured correctly. The cause for this response is
DataPower is attempting to match the IP address instead of the
DNS name to the list of configured virtualhosts which does not
have the IP or "*" configured as one of the virtualhost aliases.

Local fix

  • Add the IP address or "*" as one of the virtualhost aliases.

Problem summary

  • Affected is the use of ODR. After this fix, both the DNS name
and IP address can be used to match against the list of
configured virtualhost aliases instead of just the IP address.
