APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a virtual machine (VM) migration is started, resources are
reserved on the target compute node to ensure there is capacity
for the VM being migrated.

If the VM migration fails, resources may continue to be reserved
on the target compute node.  If this occurs and the "Reserve
resources for availability" setting is set to "Cloud group",
the high availability (HA) status for the cloud group may show
as inactive when it should be active.

Problem summary


    

  • The placement code has been enhanced to verify that there
are no unresolved placement goals. Some static map variables
were moved from groovy files to Java classes.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
