Error description

  • During a REPLICATE NODE, if the asterisk (*) is used
to indicate to IBM Spectrum Protect to replicate all
defined nodes it is possible to receive a warning message
followed by and error message as such:

ANR1934W REPLICATE NODE: Node nodenameA is disabled.
ANR2728E REPLICATE NODE: Node nodenameA cannot be
replicated because it is not in the SEND or
          SYNCSEND mode.

At this point, the server already knows that the node
is disabled so the ANR2728E is extraneous.

Another variant of this issue is when running REPLICATE NODE
for a specified node name that is disabled:

ANR2728E REPLICATE NODE: Node NODE_NAME cannot be replicated
because it is not in the SEND or SYNCSEND mode.
ANR2728E REPLICATE NODE: Node NODE_NAME cannot be replicated
because it is not in the SEND or SYNCSEND mode.

This causes the ANR2728E to be issued twice for the node
        in question.

    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
      All Tivoli Storage Manager Servers
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics (If Applicable)
A review of the Spectrum Protect activity log is
sufficient. Looking for an ANR1934W and ANR2728E.
    Initial Impact:
      Low
    Additional Keywords:
      TSM REPL
