APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During installation of the Recovery Agent (no other Data
  Protection for VMware components) on a Linux host, installation
  can give an error message in the console install output while
  the product actually is successfully installed as seen in the
  logs.
  The issue was first seen in a RHEL 6.6 environment, but can
  happen on other Linux versions as well.
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  The console output shows the install is OK for the DE install
  part and prerequisites checks. When actually installing, the
  following error will be reported:
  
  Linux user  created failed
  --------------------------
  
  Problems were encountered when creating Linux user  which will
  be used to save the configuration files under the user's home
  directory.
  
  Installation failed.
  
  then the install does end with a success message :

Problem conclusion

• The installer in text mode do not handle the pop-up warning
  well. This is now resolved.
