APAR status

Error description

• Page validation during database backup processing is incomplete
  and can result in corrupt pages not being detected.
  Beginning with the introduction of Tivoli Storage Manager server
  version 7.1.1.000, the Server began leveraging a DB2 technology
  to validate database pages during database backup operations.
  Page validation is used to uncover structural corruption within
  the database.
  Under a set of known and unavoidable conditions, this page
  validation feature can fail to properly detect and report some
  bad pages within the database.  This is caused by DB2 APAR
  IT13905.
  This is a MDVPARTL APAR for IT11954.
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  If structural database corruption is identified through
  diagnostics (see TechNote 1681275), but an ANR3260E error was
  not reported by the Tivoli Storage Manager server during
  database backups, then this APAR likely applies.
