APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The output of a select statement may get truncated if the
codeset specified in CLIENT_LOCALE
is a multibyte one such as UTF8 and the codeset of the database
(DB_LOCALE) is single byte.

Using 'UNLOAD TO' doesn't have the problem and returns the
converted string.
