APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrading a PureApplication System version 2.1.1.0 to
2.1.2.0 the CPU and memory allocations listed are higher
than the actual values. The user can not start virtual
machines due to the resource shortage.

Local fix

  • IBM SWAT support can trigger a resource recalculation.

Problem summary

  • The resource calcualtions have been updated to use the effective
values and a check condition has been added to recalculate the
values as needed on a regular basis.

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
version 2.2.0.0.
