Error description
User noticed that when two WebSphere Application Server (WAS) pattern software components were dropped onto a node, the WAS components were installed in the reverse order that they were placed. This matters, for example, when WAS Deployment Manager and the IBM HTTP Srver (IHS) are both placed on a node. The error scenario would be that the IHS component gets installed before the Deployment Manager. Further investigation resulted in the root of the issue being that a policy had also been applied to the pattern.
Local fix
Add any policies to the pattern last.
Problem summary
There was a problem in the code sorting the order of the software components from the application model.
Problem conclusion
A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System version 2.1.2.1.
