Error description
Alert Definitions are reset to defaults by v.5.2.8 upgrade installer as per the following documentation: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS5R93_5.2.8/com.i bm.spectrum.sc.doc/fqz0_c_migrating_alerts.html When upgrading from Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 5.2.7 and earlier to IBM Spectrum Control, all the alert definitions for performance conditions are automatically migrated. Alert definitions for non-performance conditions (also referred to as configuration alerts) are not migrated. Investigation is required to restore feature in subsequent feature updates. RECREATE STEPS: Upgrade IBM TPC 5.2.x environment to IBM Spectrum Control v5.2.8 and check pre-configured Alerts.

Re-configure Alerts as necessary.

Problem conclusion
Users will be notified with a new dialog that any non-performance monitoring alerts will not be migrated during the upgrade. Default alerts will be created for those during upgrade.
