Error description

  • PureApplication System V2.1.1.0
    -
    If a Call Home service ticket created in the IBM Problem
    Management System returns a "NOT ENTITLED" return code
    then the PureApplication System Call Home function
    will try to create another service ticket.
    This causes a looping in the service ticket creation code.

    In the "Problem" page the value for the Call Home event will
    show no value in the Service Request column and a high value in
    the count field.

Local fix

  • Disable the Call Home feature until entitlement is resolved.
    

Problem summary

  • The Call Home code needs to be updated to recognize
    the "NOT ENTITLED" return code and handle appropriately.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
    version 2.1.2.0.
