APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The virtual management system code should not
  try to delete a snapshot for virtual machines (VMs) that are
  already deleted.
  
  The error scenario is:
  1. Deploy a virtual system
  2. Clone one of the VMs
  3. Take a snapshot of the virtual system instance
  4. Delete one of the VMs
  5. Try to delete the snapshot.
  
  This causes the "Failed to delete snapshot" error in the
  history.
  
  There is also a problem in the displayed error message in that
  it briefly displays a "Failed to restore the snapshot" message.

Local fix

Problem summary

• The virtual management system code should check that a
  snapshot exists before it tries to delete it and we need to fix
  the error message displayed after a snapshot delete problem.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code is being provided in PureApplication System
  version 2.1.2.0 and is also available in PureApplication System
  version 2.0.0.1 Interim Fix 6.
