APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In the TPC SRA probe logs the following messages are displayed:
  2015-09-30 01:46:07.252 STA0196I Unsupported request reported by
  device /dev/hdisk0
  2015-09-30 01:46:07.469 STA0523E Command execution failed.
  
  The error "STA0523E Command execution failed" occurs when AIX
  multipath driver is installed  but no multipath device has been
  created.

Problem conclusion

• Do not log the error "STA0523E Command execution failed." when
  pcmpath query device returns no device.   The fix for this APAR
  is targeted for the following maintenance package:
