APAR status

Error description

  • When PureApplication is configured to integrate with an existing
LDAP server for user authentication it is not clear on the
System Console that members of an LDAP user group will not be
displayed in the user interface.

Currently when you display the user groups the detail indicates
that its "Type" is LDAP and the "Group members" is (none).

This could be misleading as it could mean that user group does
not contain any members. What it really means is that the
page can not display the LDAP members in an LDAP user group.

Local fix

  • Lookup LDAP user group members directly on the LDAP server.

Problem summary

  • Need to fix the text in the console to indicate that
LDAP user group members will not be displayed on the page.

Problem conclusion

  • "Group members not retrieved for this group" is now displayed
in PureApplication System version 2.1.2.0.
