Error description

  • Probe fails to v7k with the following error message:
    
    2015-08-28 16:31:09.459-0300 HWNEP0112E The CLI command that was
    issued for the storage system afiled and generated the following
    error:
    
    rbash:
    lssystem: command not found
    
    Resulting from, the command 'lssystem' is not available until
    V7K firmware version 6.3.x +.
    
    Apar created to investigate possible solution to above probe
    error.
    
    
    RECREATE STEPS: Run probe to V7K with firmware less than v.6.3.x

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Probe for SVC 6.1 and 6.2 fails in TPC 5.2.6 and 5.2.7       *
    * because the lssystem command does not exist on the SVC.      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Upgrade to SVC 6.3 or above or TPC 5.2.8 or above.           *
    ****************************************************************
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem can be resolved by upgrading either the SVC firmware
    or the TPC software.
    
    1 - Upgrade SVC to 6.3 or higher
    
    2 - Upgrade to TPC 5.2.8 or higher.
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
    package:
