IT10668: RUNNING AN ACTION FROM A CONTEXT LEADS TO EXCESSIVE STYLESHEET CACHE ENTRIES ADDING, CACHE FLUSHING, AND RE-COMPILATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customers might see excessive temporary stylesheet cache
  entries, whose URL contains xa35://tmp/temp_,  reported by the
  'show stylesheet-status' command. Customers might also see the
  stylesheet cache entries being flushed and re-added when the
  run-from-context action is executed.
  

Local fix

• Change the DataPower actions configured to run from a context,
  to run from a file or with a file that is resolved from a
  context variable.
  

Problem summary

• Users who configure DataPower action to run from a context might
   run into the problem.  For DataPower action configured to run
  from a context, the context content is persisted to a temporary
  file and the action runs from that temporary file. The problem
  is caused by a defect of managing cache entries for temporary
  files.
  
  Customers see excessive temporary stylesheet cache entries,
  whose URL contains xa35://tmp/temp_,  reported by the 'show
  stylesheet-status' command. Customers also see the stylesheet
  cache entries are kept being flushed and re-added when the
  run-from-context action is executed.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is available in 7.2.0.1.
