    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Currently the Knowledge Center topic for EmailInput node
    (bc16200) does not document the steps required to configure
    secure connections to pop3/imap Email Servers.
    
    There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
    Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • Knowledge center topic bc16200c will be updated as follows:
    
    In the EmailInput node Basic properties table the entry for
    "protocol" will read:
    
    "protocol can be pop3/pop3s or imap/imaps"
    
    The following example will be added showing how to connect to a
    secured email server:
    
    To configure a secure pop3/imap server:
    If connecting to a secure server using pop3s or imaps protocols,
    for example: pop3s://myemailserver.com:12345 or
    imaps://myemailserver.com:56789 then you must configure the
    Integration Server's JVM with keystore/truststore credentials.
    Please refer to "Viewing and setting keystore and truststore
    runtime properties at integration server level " for more
    details.
    
    Topic bn28730 will be updated as follows::
    
    The configurable service serverName should say:
    
    "protocol can be pop3/pop3s or imap/imaps"
