• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• Running the "dsmc set password" command specifying a
  domain ID (domain\admin) does not work correctly due to the back
  slash "\" being removed.
  
  Example:
  dsmc set password -type=vmguest VMNAME domain\administrator
  Please enter password for user id "domainadministrator@VMNAME"
  Note the missing back slash.
  While the password will be accepted, the backups will fail
  due to the incorrect credentials being passed.
  The Linux manual should be updated to reflect this.

  Versions affected: 6.4, 7.1, 7.1.1 Linux only
  

Local fix

• When using a domain account, put the domain ID in double quotes:
  dsmc set password -type=vmguest VMNAME "domain\administrator"

Problem conclusion

• In UNIX and Linux Backup-Archive Clients Installation and User
  Guides and Windows Backup-Archive Clients Installation and User
  Guides and IBM Knowledge Center for level 7.1, the "Set
  password" topic is updated
  (Backup-archive client options and commands >Using commands>Set
  password).
  The "Set Password" documentation is updated to indicate that any
  command parameters that contain special characters must be
  enclosed in quotation marks.  The "Set Password" topic is
  updated with the following text:

  more special characters in quotation marks. Without quotation
  marks, the special characters can be interpreted as shell escape
  characters, file redirection characters, or other characters
