Error description

  • The thread that was found to be corrupting memory was doing so
    in the following stack:

    memcpy()
    SqlPutDataCheck()
    drda_putcoldata_checksplit()
    drda_puttuple()
    exfetch()
    sql_nfetch()
    drda_nfetch()
    _Z16sqljs_ddm_opnqryP14db2UCinterfaceP13sqljDDMObject()
    sqljsParse()
    do_drdamain()
    drdamain()
    spawn_thread()
    th_init_initgls()
    startup()

    It was running a query which had the following sub-select which
    was using the interval data type:

    select col1, (end_ts - begin_ts)::interval minute(9) to minute
    as total_time from tab1

    It corrupted so much memory that several threads crashed
    simultaneously with then all kinds of different stack traces.

    When looking at the memory, it would appear as if the contents
    of the Informix shared memory had been shifted from 1 location
    to another.
