Error description

  • The Tivoli Storage Manager Backup Archive Client may wrongly
    calculate the free space available for a disk volume
    causing the filespace utilization percentage reported as
    negative in the output of "QUERY FILESPACE" command executed on
    Tivoli Storage Manager Server.
    Here is an example of "QUERY FILESPACE" output showing the
    problem:
    
    
                NODE_NAME: NODE1
           FILESPACE_NAME: \\remotedir\v$\abcd
             FILESPACE_ID: 2
           FILESPACE_TYPE: NTFS
                 CAPACITY: 1048576.00
                 PCT_UTIL: -99.60
                 [...]
    
    In the above example, the Tivoli Storage Manager B/A Client has
    calculated that the disk "\v$" has 2 TB as "Free space" when the
    total space is 1TB.
    So the "PCT_UTIL" % value is shown as negative on Server.
