APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The following messages might be seen in the dsmerror.log :
    
    (example on a Windows host where <x> is the protected disk OS
    assigned drive letter)
    
    ANS1228E Sending of object '\\<hostname>\<x>$' failed.
    ANS1019E The volume could not be opened.
    ANS1813E Image Backup processing of '\\<hostname>\<x>$' finished
    with failures.
    when the indicated disk is protected with a WORM functionality
    by a 3rd party software.
    For example the issue has been observed for disks protected by
    GrauData FileLock software.
    
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: All supported versions
    of the Tivoli Storage Manager Client on Windows

       psGetVolAttr(2024):  psGetLvAttrib() failed.  rc = 4163
            PrepareSend():  Error from psGetVolAttr 4163.
