Error description

  • Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments could fail to
detect newly attached devices on very slow Linux mount proxy
machines during a mount operation of a Linux VM for file level
restore. After a the login of the iSCSI devices on the Linux
mount proxy machine the B/A client waits 4sec to give the
Linux OS time to detect the newly added device in the system
before continuing with the mount operation. On some very slow
systems the 4sec could be not enough and the new devices do
not show up in the system. Thus the mount operation will fail
    and a rollback is executed.
