Error description

  • Tivoli Storage Manager Backup/Archive Client for Windows does
    not re-backup an HSM for Windows stub file if the stub file was
    in state moving at the time of the previous backup run and has
    been changed by HSM for Windows hsmtask service to not in state
    moving.
    When a stub file with old status 'moving' is restored from
    backup pool, a consecutive recall tries to connect to HSM for
    Windows remote TSM server and fails. The resident version of the
    file can be restored from backup pool instead.

    Customer/L2 diagnostics:
    When a stub file has been restored from backup pool and the stub
     file cannot be recalled from HSM archive, then this backup
    problem may be the root cause. If the file is in state moving,
    the restored stub may have old reparse point information and the
     recall tries to connect to a remote HSM TSM server (data have
    been moved from remote TSM server to target TSM server). Use HSM
     for Windows dsmfileinfo command to display the moving state of
    a file.

    r:\move\myfile.txt
