IT02386: POINT IN TIME DATABASE RESTORE FAILS WITH ANR2972E.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the "ARCHFAILOVERLOGDirectory" option is specified
  in the dsmserv.opt and a point in time database restore is
  performed the following error may be seen:
      ANR0152I Database manager successfully started.
      rm: 0653-611 Directory /tsmarchlogfo is not empty.
      ANR2972E RESTORE DB: Database restore/rollforward terminated
      Not able to clease up log directory /tsmarchlogfo.
  The error is received beacause DSMSERV attempts to remove the
  ARCHFAIlOVERDirectory.
  If the ARCHFAILOVERDirectory is a separate file system the
  remove directory operation will fail and the point in time
  restore will terminate.
  If the ARCHFAILOVERDirectory is not a separate filesystem the
  remove directory operation will succeed depending directory
  permission. If the remove directory operation succeeds then
  the point in time restore will continue with no errors and
  will recreate the ARCHFAILOVERDirectory.
  PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT EFFECT Tivoli Storage Manager
  servers on the WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM.
  

Local fix

• Comment out the tsmarchlogfo in the dsmserv.opt file.
