IT02350: HDRMKPRI.SH SCRIPT MAY FAIL TO CHANGE HDR SECONDARY SERVER TYPE TO PRIMARY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The hdrmkpri.sh script is used to promote an HDR secondary
  server to the primary. Depending on how quickly the secondary
  server responds to commands sent by the script the promotion to
  primary server may or may not succeed. The following text
  appears in the command output when a failure occurs:
  
  DR: Unable to change server type
  onmode: Please check the message log for any additional errors.
  
  In the online message log the additional error is:
  
  This is not a valid command with the server in the current
  state.
  
  When the script fails the secondary server is shutdown and on
  restart is in standard mode. Rerunning the hdrmkpri.sh script
  should successfully change the server type to a primary.
