APAR status

Error description

• When using the MMC GUI to perform any of the following actions:
  - Backup
   - Restore
   - Delete Backup
  for any of the following:
   - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager MMC Snapin and Base System
     Services (for Filesystem backup/restore)
   - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft SQL Server
  - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft Exchange Server
   - Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection for
     Microsoft SQL Server
  - Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail: Data Protection for Microsoft
    Exchange Server
  the operation will fail if the database name contains the
  parenthesis character ).
  The result of the task will report a status of "Success".
  However, the operation wil not have been performed sucessfully.
    Note: In a scenario where multiple databases are selected for
    the task, the operation will fail for all databases - not just
    the databases that include the ) character in the name.
  This problem occurs only when all of the following conditions
  are met:
  1. the database name contains  ) character
  2. database name does not also contain single quotes, double
     quotes, white space character , or  the ( character in
  addition to the ) character

  A trace of the operation would show the following statement
  which is the indicator of the problem:

Problem conclusion

• Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft Exchange Server
  and Microsoft SQL Server have been updated to handle properly
  db names that contain parentheses when performing 'mount
  backup' operation via MMC GUI.
