IT01051: THE LOWER FUNCTION IN A QUERY AGAINST A UTF8 DATABASE CAN FAIL W ITH ERROR -941 WHEN ANOTHER ESQL/C PROGRAM IS ACCESSING THE DATA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running a query that includes the LOWER function against a
  UTF8 database, the -941 error can occur if there is another
  ESQL/C program is connected to the server at the same time and
  the number of CPU VP's is set to more than 1.
  
  The error does not occur if one of the following is true:
   - the database is created in en_US locale
   - the ESQL/C program is not running at the same time.
   - the number of CPU VP's is set to 1
