APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Cisco 9710 switches with WWNs like xxxx002A6Axxxxxx are not
  found during discovery.  Other switches with different values in
  the middle of the WWN are found.
  

Local fix

• Update the T_RES_OUI table to add the new value of 002A6A and
  associate it with Cisco.
  
  Please run these commands from DB2 command line:
  
  connect to TPCDB;
  set schema tpc;
  insert into T_RES_OUI values ('002A6A','Cisco');
  
  Restart the Device server.
  

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
  * TPC 5.2.1 and earlier users who have Cisco switches with a   *
  * WWN such as xxxx002A6Axxxxxx.                                *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * Some Cisco switches are not found during CIMOM discovery     *
  * even though others managed by the same DCNM instance are.    *
  * The center value (OUI) is used to identify the switch as     *
  * being from Cisco and handle it correctly.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Apply fix maintenance when available or apply the steps in   *
  * the local fix to update the database manually in the         *
  * meantime.                                                    *
  ****************************************************************
