Error description

  • The java viewer hangs or crashes when viewing the last page of
corrupted tiff image.

Problem summary

  • The Java Viewer becomes unresponsive when navigate to the last
page of a g4 compressed tif with extra blank characters at the
end of the file.

This has been fixed in CM83 FP10.

Problem conclusion

  • Extra characters at the end will be ignored and the last page
may be viewed.
