IO08606: LDAP USER WITH LONG USER DESCRIPTION COULD NOT BE IMPORTED IN SYS ADMIN CLIENT

Error description

  • In sys admin client, trying to import a LDAP user with a long
user description field might cause the DB2 CLI0109E error due to
the string truncation in the user description field.

[MSG]: com.ibm.mm.sdk.common.DKException: [IBM][CLI Driver]
CLI0109E String data right truncation. SQLSTATE=22001

Problem summary

  • When import a  LDAP user through system admin, if the ldap
user's DN is longer
then 128 character and LDAP configuration choose to use DN in
description field, then this user can not be created through
system admin.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in cm83fp10.
