Error description

  • Copying in Advanced mode and Exporting Privilege sets in the
    System Administration client causes the domain names to double
    in the exported file.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • If a user uses the DB2 Content Manager System Administration
    Client to copy an existing privilege set to create a second
    privilege set that is identical (but with a different name and
    description) to the first one, then the 'adminDomain'collection
    of the new privilege set has the administrative domains
    repeated. For example, instead of having:
             <adminDomain name="SuperDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="PublicDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="DefaultDomain"/>
    the new privilege set has:
            <adminDomain name="SuperDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="PublicDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="DefaultDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="SuperDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="PublicDomain"/>
            <adminDomain name="DefaultDomain"/>

    This is from PMR  66039,487,000.

Problem conclusion

  • In the addPrivilegeSet() method, the API is changed to add the
    domains to the privilege set only if these domains do not
    already exist in the privilege set.

Temporary fix

  • n/a
