APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When compiling with optimization and debug info enabled, a
    compile time internal compiler error is encountered.  The issue
    is triggered by using the higher level optimization -qipa or
    -qhot with higher level -g usage, i.e. -g5 and above.
    

Local fix

  • Use lower optimization or lower debug level.

Problem conclusion

  • Incorrect internal optimization code was generated that caused
    an error state and crash.  Issue has been corrected.
